Made to Measure Interiors

lavender blue floral DESIGN | Amsterdam

To improve the acoustics and warmth of the dining room, insulation was installed on the inside of the single-post wall and finished with an acoustic panel. The panel is covered with coarse linen which matches the colour of the plastered and lime paint finished walls. On either side of the French doors, the radiator is incorporated in a frame with an Art Deco pattern fabric and magnetic closure.

Elaborating on the classic construction and layout of the interior, a fabric band was fitted around the ceiling and finished with wood trim in lavender blue to match the colour of the fabric with floral design. To which linen folding curtains softly diffuse light into the room. All applied surfaces and profiles are detailed separately from the existing architecture by means of a shadow joint.
